About Me

I studied Tibetology and Social Anthropology at the Universities of Göttingen and Hamburg, Germany.

In 2007 I obtained my M.A. from Hamburg University with a thesis on the life and works of the 5th gDong thog sPrul sku bsTan pa'i rgyal mtshan (b. 1933) better known as T.C. Dhongthog Rinpoche.

In 2008 I was rewarded a PhD scholarship from Hamburg University. My research focusses on the life of the great tantric master Ngor chen Kun dga' bzang po (1382-1456) and the historical development of the monastery, Ngor E waM chos ldan, and the buddhist tradition, the Ngor pa school, he founded.
